Spreko privacy policy

In short

Spreko works out your numbers on your own device. We don't run a server for your health data, we don't use analytics, tracking or advertising, and we never sell your data.

What the iPhone app reads

With your permission, the app reads these types from Apple Health: active and resting energy; steps, walking, running and cycling distance, and flights climbed; exercise time, stand time, time in daylight and activity rings; heart rate, resting heart rate, walking heart rate average, heart rate variability, heart rate recovery and VO₂ max; respiratory rate, blood oxygen and sleeping wrist temperature; walking speed and step length; sleep stages; workouts; body measurements (weight, body fat, lean body mass, BMI and height); and date of birth and sex if you have set them. This includes data that other apps, such as Myzone or a smart scale, write to Apple Health. The app only reads Apple Health and never writes to it.

If you import a Myzone activity CSV, the app reads that file too.

Where it's processed and stored

• Everything is processed on your iPhone. Health data is not sent to us or to anyone else.
• The app keeps its processed copy in its own storage on the phone. That copy is excluded from iCloud backup.
• The app has no account, no server, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
• Chart libraries are built into the app, so opening the dashboard doesn't need to contact other services.

When data leaves your phone

Only when you tap "Send data file". The app then creates a processed summary (no raw samples) and hands it to the iOS share sheet; you choose who receives it and how (for example Messages, Mail or AirDrop). Nothing is sent automatically.

Data you send to a coach

If you send your data file to a coach who uses Spreko, it's held in that coach's Spreko athlete roster. It stays there until you or your coach delete it. Ask your coach to delete it at any time, or contact us and we'll arrange it.

The web dashboard

• Export files you add (for example Apple Health's export.zip or a CSV) are read in your browser and are not uploaded.
• Your food log is saved privately to your Claude account, or in this browser if you're not signed in. Only you can see it.
• "Share with my coach" is off by default. When you switch it on, your processed data (never the raw export) is copied to your coach's store. Switching it off deletes the shared copy.

This website

• The website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking.
• The website is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard request data, such as your IP address, to serve pages and keep the site secure.
• If you join the beta or ask for a demo, we keep what you type in the form (such as your email, name and business details) only to send your invite or arrange the demo. On spreko.co the request is stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, and emailed to us. On the claude.ai preview of this site, signed-in visitors' requests are saved in the site's own storage there, which only we can read. If the form can't be sent, your email app sends it to us instead.
• We don't add you to a mailing list or share your details. Ask us to delete them at any time.

Health data is never used for advertising or sold

We don't use Apple Health data, or anything derived from it, for advertising, marketing or data mining, and we don't sell it or share it with data brokers.

Your choices

• Change or remove Spreko's access at any time in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Spreko.
• "Delete Spreko data" in the app deletes the app's copy from your phone. Deleting the app does the same. Your Apple Health data isn't affected.
• Spreko is for fitness and wellbeing, and is not a medical device.
